We hold afternoon lectures at 2.00pm on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June (excepting December) at the Bridge Chapel Centre, Heath Road, Liverpool, L19 4XR.
Lunch may be taken at the Bridge Chapel Bistro beforehand and car parking is available

We currently have a membership of about 175 and no waiting list. We welcome new members. Non-members are welcome to attend as guests for up to three meetings for £5 per visit, before deciding whether to join.

The lectures are illustrated by slides and are of approximately one hour duration. They cover a wide range of the Arts from the point of view of the artist, the period and the location; painting; sculpture; textiles; ceramics; furniture; architecture; and many more.
The lecturers, mostly from the NADFAS Directory of accredited speakers, are experts in their fields.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served before the meeting closes at about 4.00pm

During the year, we arrange visits by coach to various places of interest: stately homes, both public and private; gardens; museums and exhibitions. There are also social occasions - lunches; garden parties; coffee mornings - often in interesting venues.

Members of NADFAS have the opportunity of helping conserve and record our artistic heritage on a voluntary basis. LDFAS currently has Heritage Volunteers cleaning rare and valuable books in the Oak Library (part of the Central Library, Liverpool), and at the Athenaeum, also at Knowsley Hall. Other volunteers have been preparing items from many departments of Liverpool University for the new Victoria Gallery and Museum which opened to the public in July 2008.
